Museum of Liptov village is situated approximatelly 500m from Privat Pallo. Museum of Liptov Village is the most attractive landmark of the Liptov region. It displays the typical folk architecture. The impetus behind the establishing of the museum was the extensive flooding caused by the construction of the Liptovská Mara dam.

The first entry documenting the spring of thermal water in Besenova dates back to 1492 when the old Celts felt the huge power of this magnificent water during their relax after the wars. By the time the first well was done, people have been using the effects of this geothermal water. In 1987 the well with energy of 5.5 MW and sufficiency of 30l/sec was built.
The first pools for the public were open in 1993 and three years later the greenhouse was added for growing tomatoes with the use of geothermal water.
Since the summer 2006 the Thermal Park has enlarged the offer of its services almost 5 times, thanks to great investments. The whole area of Thermal Park Besenova is 6ha, 1/3 of it is the water
Tatralandia Holiday Resort is the largest year-round water fun complex with accommodation in Slovakia, Czech Republic and Poland. It is situated in Liptov region – region with plenty of cultural sights, typical folk culture and folklore, surrounded by the highest mountains in Slovakia – High and Low Tatras, Veľká Fatra (Great Fatra), Malá Fatra (Small Fatra) and Choč Mountains.
The nature monument Demänovská caves is the longest cave system in Slovakia. It is situated in the national nature reserve Demänovská valley in the territory of the Low Tatras national park. The system represents a unique instance of cave levels development by a ponor water flow in the fluvio-karst valley in the mid-mountain location of the Western Carpathian. Moreover, its natural merits are enhanced by a rich flowstone filling of various shapes, as well as the ice filling of the Demänovska ice cave is also important from the historical point of view. From the vast underground places , the public has acces to a part of the Demanovska cave of Liberty and Demanovska ice cave.
An exceptionally attractive trip is the ascent to the Kriváň Mt. (2,494 m ) a stout peak in the western part of the High Tatras. This mountain is a multiple winner of enquiries about the most beautiful mountain in Slovakia. It is easily recognisable for its conspicuously curved summit, which is the reason why it is called Kriváň (in English Curved Mount).

National Park High Tatras (Vysoke Tatry) is situated in the north of Slovakia, shared partly with Poland. The only mountains of Alpine type in the whole Carpathian Mountain range are often called the smallest alpine mountains in Europe

When we say High Tatras, we mean majestic peaks touching to the sky, dark turquoise mountain lakes of glacier origin, waterfalls, unique plants, rare animals like chamois (mountain goat) or marmot, exceptionally clean air and environment great for healing respiratory conditions.
There are three main parts of High Tatras:
National Park Low Tatras (Nizke Tatry) lies in the north of Slovakia, below its bigger brother High Tatras, sprawling between the valleys of rivers Vah from the north and Hron from the south. It features dense untouched forests, breathtaking views, brisk waterfalls, lifeful fauna.
Many tourists and mountaineers are drawn to Low Tatras for interesting hikes, challenging sport adventures and grandiose view at the peaks of High Tatras mountains and valleys down below.
Tatras are the most visited mountain chain in Slovakia. Tourism is very popular here. Large number of new hotels, recreational villages, camping sites, ski parks, charming chalets and family guesthouses are available. Winter season offers ski resorts, Jasna being the largest one in Central Europe; summer season is great for hiking.
